Baseball Card Case

Can a baseball card in a screw-down case be graded?

I have a card I placed in a case, then tried to open it (stupid, I know). The paint from the card chipped, part of it stuck to the case. I lined up the chip with the case, and screwed it back down. Can this card still be graded?

1. Certainly. But with a chip off of the card, expect it to get no better than a 3 VG, and probably less.
